Darkness to Light’s Supplemental Trainings
Supplemental trainings are designed to provide more in-depth information on topics in Stewards of Children®. These are not intended to be used as a replacement for Stewards of Children®. They do not provide the foundation necessary to adequately address child sexual abuse and should be viewed as companion education. Please visit Stewards of Children® to sign-up for a training if you have not taken it already.
Supplemental Training Topics Include:
Talking with Children About Safety from Sexual Abuse
Learn how to talk with and listen to children about sexual abuse and personal safety.
Healthy Touch for Children and Youth
Learn guidelines for healthy touch and safe, respectful ways to interact with children at home and in youth serving settings.
Bystanders Protecting Children from Boundary Violations and Sexual Abuse
Prepares the learner to make interventions that reinforce boundaries and protects children.
Free Community Supplemental Trainings:
As safety measures for COVID-19 remain necessary, and out of care for the health and safety of all, Safe Shores will be offering supplemental trainings to the community virtually. These trainings will be LIVE, led by an Authorized Facilitator, and will provide an interactive opportunity to share, learn, and practice implementing strategies to protect children from child sexual abuse. Community trainings are open to the public and pre-registration is required. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
There are no virtual supplemental trainings scheduled at this time.
Private Supplemental Training for Your Organization
If your group has already completed Stewards of Children® and would like to keep the conversation and learning going, a Safe Shores representative can host a supplemental training on a date and time of your choosing. Each training is 1-hour and will be facilitated on Zoom. At least 2 weeks’ notice is required. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
