Virtual Talking with Children About Safety from Sexual Abuse Training (English)

April 14, 2022 | 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Having age-appropriate, open conversations about our bodies, sex, and boundaries is an important step in protecting children from sexual abuse. Talking about personal safety and sex creates a protective bond between parent and child, increases confidence for both, and instills knowledge that makes children and teens much less vulnerable. In this training, you will learn how to talk with and listen to children about sexual abuse and personal safety.

During the training, you will hear compelling stories from experts and survivors about how talking to kids can help prevent sexual abuse. You will also:

  • Learn why relationships and resilience are the building blocks of safety for children.
  • Receive examples of how to talk about personal safety with children of all ages.
  • Learn how to use everyday opportunities to talk with children about sexual abuse.
